Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I consider drone cleaning?
Drones can cover large surface areas and hard to reach places in a short amount of time. In fact, our drones can clean up to 300 square feet per minute. Drone cleaning eliminates the need for lifts, ladders and scaffolding resulting in fewer work place injuries and reduced manpower.
Overall, drone cleaning is a more cost effective, efficient, and safer way of cleaning.
Do you have to obtain special clearance to fly the drone?
Our pilots do a preflight check prior to every mission. This includes monitoring updated weather conditions and obtaining flight clearance if operating in close proximity to controlled air space. Our pilots use a variety of monitoring applications to ensure the safety of our pilots and clients.
How high can the drone fly?
Our "Sherpa" drone is capable of flying over 400 feet AGL (above ground level) untethered. That's equivalent to 11 standard school buses end to end or 40 stories high. For cleaning purposes , the FAA limits flight height to 140 feet AGL.
How long can the drone fly for?
What type of cleaning products do you use?
We use a variety of products depending on job type. Sodium Hypochlorite, commonly known in a dilute solution as bleach, is the primary component of soft washing and is the industry standard. General percentages range from a solution containing 1-6%. Our soft wash rig uses a proportioning system to ensure the proper ratio is achieved for each job. We also utilize surfactants for optimal roof/siding washing, this helps to penetrate and loosen dirt, grime and other contaminates. Window cleaning requires deionized water in conjunction with a proprietary window cleaning concentrate for a spot free rinse. Our solutions are biodegradable and eco friendly.
Do you always use the drone?
Although many of our jobs require the use of a drone, our soft wash rig allows us to clean up to two story buildings from the ground. In fact, we use a combination of wands and sprayers on most of our jobs to wash areas around the lower parts of the building . We use the same soft wash process whether operating from the ground or high in the sky!
How much does it cost?
There are a wide variety of factors that influence the overall cost of a project. This includes, building height and size, accessibility, location, degree or level of soiled surfaces. We are happy to do a on-site visit and provide a fast, free estimate.
